The Permanence of Character Development

I meant to get ice cream yesterday, but I was given a muffin because Free Will is a lie. This past Thursday was the ten-year anniversary of the release of The Force Awakens. I considered writing the Saturday Note about it, but I’ve said a lot about it, so there wouldn’t be anything new. However! There are a lot of interesting thinkpieces and YouTube video essays about the movie out there that are probably better than what I can bang out for a Saturday Note.

Presently finishing up the first season of Percy Jackson on Hulu, and almost halfway through season three of Dark Winds on Netflix. Reading The Land Beyond the Sea, which is really, really good, but also really, really long, and I kind of want to be done with it already (almost made it the topic of the Saturday Note, but I’m not done with it, so that seemed unfair).

Revenge Isn't Everything

Stressful week! Changing plans, lack of contact, and an alarming number of drivers who don’t use turning signals. All very distressing!

Anyhow, I don’t know what’s going on with Burn Notice on Hulu, as it no longer says it’s going off the streamer soon. I did notice that the Disney Percy Jackson series is on Hulu right now, though, and now Turn is back on Netflix. Not sure how much longer I’ll be doing LEGO Star Wars, as there are over a thousand kyber bricks, and, uh, I don’t know if I care that much.

The Purpose of Armor

I’m still on a bit of a post-vacation crash; the Thanksgiving break did not help. Boy, January is going to suck, I think.

This week, I finished season four of The Witcher (which kind of inspired this Note!), and I was planning to begin season three of Dark Winds, but it turns out that Hulu is going to remove Burn Notice in less than two weeks, so I might be doing a mad dash to finish that. I probably won’t finish it all in time, though. Finishing up LEGO Star Wars and the Artemis Fowl series right now.
