Things I Have Done in 2022

Hopefully by the time you read this I will be playing Horizon Forbidden West and taking down some robot dinosaurs! If not, welp, I’ll do something else. Maybe finishing The Red Winter and bopping up my book count by one more this year? We will see.

I don’t know what to write exactly, so I went with this list of stuff I have done in the past year. I also considered doing a list of things I plan to do next year, but I feel like that’s just asking for trouble.

Frozen Fantasy Stories

It is Christmas Eve and it is REALLY friggin’ cold outside, but I hoped to sit and write a Saturday Note so that you guys don’t feel as if you’re all alone on this Christmas weekend. Or, more likely, I feel bad if I go a week without doing a Saturday Note.

I didn’t know what to write about, but then I got hit by a blast of cold wind/inspiration and so here we are!

Adapting Video Games to Screen

I did not know if I would have time to write this Saturday Note either, but I thought I’d give it a try, so here we go. I had the idea of talking about what a fantasy setting based off of the Italian Renaissance would look like, because I just read the novelization of Assassin’s Creed II, but I think we’ll save that until after I try reading City of Masks (which I got on hold from the library!).

This has been in the news lately so I thought I’d give my two cents.

Mystery & Pseudo-Mystery Boxes

I recently started watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood because I felt like I need something with Plot to watch (most of the stuff I’ve started on streaming services right now is whacky comedy). And so far, so good!  I’m having fun.

This Note was written a bit earlier than they usually are, as I don’t think I’ll have the time on Friday to type it out.

Showing & Telling

Oi, what a week. But you know what? NaNoWriMo is finished, and the final update for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla came a week before it was scheduled, so I’ve got that to look forward to completing. And if I keep things going smoothly, I should be able to have 200 books logged before the end of the year!

I thought perhaps that this was something I’ve talked about before, but I looked through the blog and couldn’t find it. So maybe it’s come up in different Notes, but if I have a Note on it’s from over three years ago, and therefore we’ll call it fair game!

Also I didn’t mention Iron Druid in this Note, which surprised me a bit. I thought we’d do that. Which reminds me–I need to continue sporking.
